AC Future

Brief the project
This is a concept design which is released in 2024 CES show. It comes with an extraordinary mobile living space known
as eTH – Electric Transformer House.
This cutting-edge product aims to harmoniously blend luxurious amenities, smart technology, and eco-friendly features to embrace the mobility demands of the future.
In just 3-4 months, we have contracted a wide range of projects, including AC FUTURE's corporate brand and products, car exteriors and interiors, as well as promotional videos and visuals required for CES.

What I did
Define the target user, scenario, transportation exterior design style with team together from Phase 0
Work with transportation designer and designed the 2D interior space for matching the exterior.
Take the lead for interior design and define all items size, position, style and CMF guideline.
Mainly designed the bathroom, kitchen, divison wall, bathroom and bedroom.

Design Background
During the COVID-19 pandemic, camping became a preferred vacation option as people sought stress relief in the
great outdoors and connection to their family and friends.
Millennials are more likely than other generations to associate higher levels of service and amenities with outdoor hospitality,
as are those with higher household incomes.••Since 2O14, the number of households who camp three or more timesannually has grown an aggressive 174%.
Camping is becoming younger with Gen Z and Millennials making up majority of campers in 2022.

Collaboration with transportation designers.
This is a project where product designers collaborate with transportation designers.
Each product designer is paired with a transportation designer as a team to participate in user experience and definition, and to distinguish different types of groups.

The exterior design designed by Transportation Team.

Take a Lead for Interior Design after Exterior done.
After the exterior design which designed by transportation designers is done, I move to interior design and define the main interior style and CMF. I also catalog the guidelines for other designers to follow the form.

2D CONFIGURATION LAYOUT
I worked with all members on different layouts together since project started. The biggest challenge of this layout is to integrate the kitchen, driver's seat, cabinets, bedroom, living room and other spaces into the car according to two usage scenarios, and also to consider the route when the space is expanded. Stefano and I finalized the layout based on selected direction and I keep working on the each interior space after this.

Goutmet Kitchen
When designing a kitchen, the primary considerations are safety and storage, as it is crucial to ensure that kitchen items do not fall or move during the movement of the vehicle. Therefore, enclosed storage is the main design feature. Additionally, effectively utilizing space is very important. For example, using a hidden cooktop can provide more countertop area.

Spacious and Private
During long drives, having a quiet and comfortable resting space is very important. In this bedroom, a king-size bed can be placed, surrounded by sound-absorbing cushions. The bedside table is equipped with charging stations and a lamp

Division Wall
‍This interior space mainly features a warm tone with a wood grain base. Similar to the kitchen design, it utilizes enclosed cabinet spaces. The sliding wardrobe doors combine metal frames with frosted glass.
